I got your book today and have
spent most of the afternoon reading it (while pretending to be working!)
I think it's brilliant - the imagery and smells are wonderfully portrayed, I can practically feel the sun and the coolness of the water. It's easy to sympathise with all the characters. Sorry for going on like this, but I never really get to talk about how much I enjoy a book to anyone. I've already passed on the website to some of my girlfriends so hopefully they'll download the book too.

I'm so much looking forward to reading it -- and will definitely spread the word. It is a wonderful idea, publishing a book this way!! I am taking a holiday in August and will be travelling to Australia, Thailand & Hong Kong -- there will be many, MANY hours spent in airports and on airplanes -- and I will read "Love Lies Bleeding" en route. I was concerned about finishing a book during a long segment and not having anything to read (or do) for the rest the segment. Just my luck, the in-flight movies will break if that happens! And I didn't want to take any more weight in my carryon than necessary. Having to take my laptop regardless, this is the perfect solution! - Andrea

I have just loved your books and am on my 6th - I also re-read "striking Poses" as I read this twice and then went back to read it in order as I read the others. Just love the characters and the romance, really escapism from motherhood and work. I find it hard to read the computer for long for eyesight reasons - can I print this out? It will just have to be done as I love the characters and your style so much.

Could you not keep writing your new stories or pixie's and distribute them through the internet like the latest one. I have read all your books and could not put them down once I started to read them. All of them a favourite. I am an avid reader and am transported into them as soon as I read the first page. I really love your work and have just finished Love Lies Bleeding. It is just fabulous, fun, sad and hopeful. What more could a person want, other than the next novel please?! I felt the pathos of the work and wonder if this is meant to be your final work. I see that you have said there will be no more and I wondered if you mean in this format or at all? If it is the latter that would be a real shame. The way you pulled the threads together at the end made me think you have said "Goodbye". I sincerely hope that is not the case and that your comments in your newsletter that you have felt the muse move are an indication that there is more to come.

Just had to write and say a huge THANK YOU for this book.
It has got to be the best book I've read in a long time!!
My intentions were to print it off and read it all from paper (as I have kept your whole series) - however this went to pot when I kept seeing titbits from the printed pages I were sorting out!!
I had to start reading it - even though i was supposed to be doing work that I had brought home!
I cannot believe that your publisher didn't want to continue with you - and I really hope with every bone on my body that you don't stop writing it would be a monumental waste of talent.

Ok, so I absolutely love your book so far, I finished the first 25 chapters on the train this morning - I'm so looking forward to receiving the final chapters I'm dying to know what happens next.  I was  getting so into it on the train I nearly missed my stop a couple of times, which is fine on the way into work as it delays the whole "getting into the office" thing (which always ruins your day) but it sucks on the way home :0)

What a great idea! It reminds me of how important it is to stop bemoaning the direction things are headed and take your life into your own hands.

When I lived in a small town in Idaho and the big Wal was coming to town, several businesses closed before they even arrived because they figured they were going to be done in anyway. But a couple found ways to beat the tide and survived and thrived.

I hope this idea works. I think it's creative and brilliant.

I finished Love Lies Bleeding at 11.30 last night.  My eyes feel like I have been through a dust storm and I have to go to work but it was worth it!  I loved it!  My criteria for a good book is when I can't put it down, can't wait to finish it but don't want to finish and feel a sense of loss when I do finish it.  LLB filled all the criteria.  Thank you so much.

Half way through Love Lies Bleeding, so ventured into Hughes and Hughes for Clandestine Chapters last night, the assistant left the till scurried of to locate said chapter, then another appeared repeated my request and she browsed shelves, out of no where first assistant appeared with large brown envelope, I then began to feel like a secret agent on an adventure. Congrats on getting into Heat magazine. Must go, Have to read next chapter of LLB. Clandestine chapters beautifully presented, have stored in plastic pocket for protection.

hi Kate, I read the Clandestine Chapters of Love Lies Bleeding the day after the official launch, one of my lovely friends works in Hughes + Hughes near me so I was able to have a catch up whilst buying the book i had been dreaming about having since I read the first 25 chapters. Never in my whole life have i wanted to finish a book SO badly! I ordered the first 25 chapters of the novel and received them last week. My husband surprised me with the final chapters which he got for me in Hughes & Hughes. Best anniversary present ever (in 23 years) and also proof that he does listen to me when I rattle on about what I am reading. Loved the presentation, it felt like I had been given the first draft to read and see what I thought of it.
